Help our RFDS Doctor educate youth to ‘Survive 25’ whilst keeping the Flying Doctor flying.
Survive 25 is an honest and interactive school workshop for Year 12 students to learn about the risk of illness, injury and death from alcohol, drugs and misadventure.
The 1.5-hour presentation is delivered at schools, within the Cairns region, by Emergency Medicine Specialist Dr Katrina Starmer.
As the Medical Education Lead - Virtual Health at RFDS and from her experiences working in the Emergency Department at Cairns Hospital, Katrina is passionate about educating youth on the consequences of misadventure to prevent them from ending up in the emergency department before the age of 25.
Schools and parents are invited to share their support by making a tax-deductible donation to the RFDS (Queensland Section) in lieu of a speaker’s fee.
Your support allows the RFDS and Dr Starmer to continue delivering this important program to students whilst supporting the Flying Doctor in delivering the finest care to the furthest corner.
